like a dream of a past life
faded memories
locked up deep inside
hidden like the memories of an alter
some psychic schism obscuring them from view
but then you find the truth and falter
finding that the alter was only you
disbelief of what was said and done
this imposter could never be yourself
either way it makes you want to tell someone
and find a way to get help
but when you've tried all the venues
every avenue of care tried
and none of them have saved you
from the growing darkness in your mind
what do you do?
